Jake revealed his decision to resign from his position as Senior Pastor of The Potter’s House in Dallas Texas, during the morning service. Bishop Jakes revealed through an emotional and strong message that he would transfer pastoral leadership duties to his daughter and son-in-law Pastors Sarah Jakes Roberts and Touré Roberts at the church anniversary event this year.
This announcement concludes one chapter but starts a new chapter for him. Bishop Jakes began as young West Virginia preacher who received God’s divine call to establish The Potter’s House which developed into one of the world’s leading ministries, which grew to 30,000 members. He started from humble beginnings but focused on authenticity, compassion and empowerment and pursuing God’s purpose.
The Potter’s House flourished into a transformative sanctuary that offered restoration to millions under Bishop Jakes’ pastoral direction.
